The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and U.S. Consulate General organized a Round Table Session on Healthcare on 20th November, 2023 in the Chamber premises.

Welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, Chairperson, Biotech & Pharma Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry & Vice Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University.

Dr. Kingshuk K. Sinha, Chair and Professor, Supply Chain and Operations Department & Elmer L. Andersen Chair in Sustainable Supply Chain, Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota was the Keynote Speaker.

Representatives from various hospitals in and around the city, medical devices and equipments manufacturing companies, pharmaceutical companies, life sciences and biotech companies, scientists, researchers joined the Round Table Session. The objective of the Session was to explore and identify and scope out the needs for educational outreach & training, and research aimed at advancing mental and physical healthcare (including surgical care) delivery with a focus on improving affordability, access and awareness.

The Round Table Session was followed by Q/A Session with the audience. The Session was attended by close to 50 delegates.
