An 18-member team of the UK Railway Trade Delegation visited Kolkata on Monday, 09 October’23.  The Delegation was jointly organized by the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the Railway Industry Association (RIA), UK.  It comprised of UK companies with technologies ranging from AI based project execution solutions advanced connecters and lighting systems to safety valves for hydrogen fuel cells and remote monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions for railways. 

BCC&I partnered with the British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata to deliver a programme for the delegation, which allowed the participating UK companies an opportunity to meet the members and stakeholders of BCC&I and discuss potential partnerships. 

BCC&I arranged a Workshop and B2B meetings to maximize interactions and discussions between BCC&I members and members of the delegation from 4.00 p.m. on 9th October at The Bengal Chamber premises. The team also went for an Industrial visit at Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd and had a fulfilling interaction with Mr. Indrajit Mookerjee, Vice Chairman.
