The UK is one of the partner countries at the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) and brought 55 members UK Delegation to further strengthen UK-West Bengal business partnerships. The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) joined hands with British Deputy High Commission (BDHC) in bringing the Indian businesses towards networking at this exclusive session.

The UK Delegation included delegates from sectors like Renewable Energy, Sustainable Infrastructure, Waste and Water Management, Net Zero Standards, and Air Pollution, Agri and Agritech among others.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Mr. Gautam Ray, President, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) 

Mr. Firhad Hakim, Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal and Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata delivered the Keynote Address at the session.

The other senior speakers included Mr. Anoop Agrawal IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Technical Education, Training and Skill Development (TET &SD), Government of West Bengal, Ms. Anna Shotbolt, Deputy Trade Commissioner (Trade Policy, Exports and Economics), South Asia, Mr. Andrew Flemming, British Deputy High Commissioner, Kolkata

There were three parallel sessions after the Opening session on Net Zero, Energy and Agritech. The Sessions had participation from relevant Indian businesses to facilitate B2B networking.
