B2B Meetings with the Business Delegation from Taiwan, 9th May 2024 at Taj Bengal, 10th May 2024 at The Bengal Chamber premises and Balmer Lawrie


A multisectoral Business Delegation from Taiwan, visited Kolkata, with the objective to meet Indian counterparts, in person, to explore business opportunities between Taiwan and India. 

9th May 2024 :

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) shares deep connect with Taipei World Trade Centre, Kolkata (TWTC Kolkata). In this context, on 9th May 2024, at Taj Bengal Kolkata, TAITRA, in association with BCC&I, organized dedicated B2B Meetings with Taiwanese Suppliers from various Industries- CNC Machining, Ball Stud, Ball Joint, Rack End, Stabilizer link, Tie rod end, Control arm, STEAM Games, STEAM Toy, Educational Games, Learning Games, Card Games, Science Kit, Board Games, wash & dry combo coin laundry - Business to name a few.

The main objective of the B2B meetings was to develop bilateral trade relations between India and Taiwan and widen the connection between the two countries, both economically and culturally. The Taiwanese companies which took part in the delegation were: Chang Shen Machinery; Double Max, Aniki Hardware; Chk Sealing; Great Auto Parts Industrial; Honeycomb Learning; Ible Technology; Lydsec Digital Technology; Rih Wang Industrial; Shiang Long; Tsan Yu Yen Food; Up Young; Wel-Bloom Bio-Tech; Ye Chime

Mr. Peter Huang, Manager, TAITRA HQ; Ms. Sing Yi Jheng, Director, TWTC Kolkata and Ms. Eshani Ghosh, Trade Promotion Specialist, TWTC Kolkata accompanied the Delegation. 

Through some intense primary and secondary market surveys, BCC&I was able to connect with more than 50 Indian units located in Kolkata. By informing them about the event and helping them realize how fruitful the meetings could be for them, BCC&I was able to organize a total of 31 one-to-one B2B meetings on 9th May 2024.

10th May 2024 :

  • The Delegation visited The Bengal Chamber to interact with the Senior Chamber Secretariat. We organized an Interactive Session with Mr. Arnab Chakraborty, Director, BCC&I. The session highlighted collaboration opportunities between Taiwan and India in the realm of Electronics; IT, Manufacturing, Machinery; Medical; Steel; Tourism, Renewables. 

BCC&I also facilitated the meeting with Balmer Lawrie for Taiwanese Delegation on the 10th . The Delegation met Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar, Chairman and Managing Director; Mr. Saurav Dutta, Director (Finance); Ms. Mohar Mukhopadhyay, Head-Corporate Communications and other officials of BalmerLawrie. From the Chamber Secretariat, Mr. Avishek Mukherjee, Chief Manager and Ms. Sankalpita Aich, Manager accompanied them.
