The Career and Employability Global Summit, 22nd June 2024, Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand


The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized ‘The Career and Employability Global Summit’ held on Saturday, 22nd June 2024 at Ambassador Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. It was an international networking platform for Industry, Academia and Entrepreneurs.

The Career and Employability Global Summit was a pioneering initiative aimed at bridging the gap between industry demands, academic curriculum, and entrepreneurial aspirations of India and Thailand. This summit promised to be a transformative event for professionals, academics, and entrepreneurs alike. The summit established a robust platform for collaboration between the participating nations, leveraging the strengths of these nations to enhance career opportunities and employability prospects for the next generation workforce. The summit established robust partnerships, fostered knowledge and MOU exchanges.

The objectives of the summit were to facilitate cross-border collaboration between industry and academia in India and Thailand, thereby identifying emerging skill requirements and employment opportunities in key sectors of the participating nations, fostered partnerships for joint research, technology transfer, and innovation between the stakeholders of the participating nations, enhanced the employability of the next generation workforce through industry-relevant education promoted cultural understanding and academic exchange between India and Thailand.

  3. Industry Academia Collaboration (MOU Signing)
  4. Scope and Opportunities for Students to study in other countries

Speaking of the summit, there were slots for speaking opportunity for the Academia, Industry and Entrepreneurs who introduced themselves and shared their expectations with the august gathering who graced the event from India and Thailand. This was followed by MOU Signing between Academia and Industry.

By bridging the gap between industry demands and academic offerings, the summit aimed to empower the next generation of professionals with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and dynamic world. The Chamber will continue organizing similar summits to strengthen global business ecosystem.
