Regulatory Compliances under Customs in International Trade 14th May 2024; on Zoom Platform
Being Customs compliant includes understanding and adhering to the laws, regulations, and procedures put in place by national government and multinational authorities to govern international trade. This includes meeting certain documentation requirements, making sure goods are correctly measured, labeled, and shipped, paying the correct duties and taxes, and providing appropriate customs documentation for entry into other countries. It also involves understanding the regulations for each country in which goods are being shipped or imported.
On 14th May 2024 the International Trade Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organising an online workshop on “Regulatory Compliances under Customs” to help exporters and importers to have a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations that govern their shipment as International trade regulations vary from country to country, This includes knowing the local rules and regulations for importing and exporting goods, understanding the classification and valuation of goods, and complying with applicable taxes and duties. Exporters and importers must be aware of any specific documentation requirements for their shipment.
The workshop was well attended by exporters and importers, Customs House Agents and also representative of Bureau of Indian Standards, The participants attended from not only West Bengal but also other cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Surat & Vizag who joined online.
Mr. Sudhakar Kasture, Director of Helpline Impex Pvt. Ltd. and EXIM Institute (A Division of Helpline Impex Pvt. Ltd.), Mumbai was the faculty of the programme.
