The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry has; organized the second edition of Aharer Sekal Ekal, following its success in 2023, released a coffee table book featuring the stories and legacies of Kolkata's heritage food joints, on Tuesday, 14th May 2024, Williamson Magor Hall, The Bengal Chamber premises. The book featured stories from Classic Continental Food, Bengali Pice Hotels, Bengali Finger Foods, Heritage Eateries Club, etc. The book not only celebrates the gastronomical heritage of Kolkata but also serves as a platform to promote sustainable practices in the food industry, the city's vibrant culture and history.

The book was ideated and conceptualised by Mr. Debaditya Chaudhury, Chairperson, Lifestyle Committee, BCC&I

A wide range of heritage cuisines and Food joints from respective cuisines were covered in the book, namely:

• BIRYANI & TANDOORI: Royal Indian Hotel, Aminia, Nizam's
• BENGALI PICE HOTEL: Hotel Tarun Niketan, Hotel Sidheswari Ashram, Swadhin Bharat Hindu Hotel

• OFFICE PARA HERITAGE: Chitto Babur Dokan, Amber, Karco Heritage

The book was unveiled in the presence of special guests, namely Shri Rajeev Kumar, IPS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal; Shri Atri Bhattacharya, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Sundarban Affairs,  Government of West Bengal; Shri Srijit Mukherji, Indian Film Director; and Shri Debojyoti Mishra,  Indian Music Director, along with other senior industry representatives.
