The "Bengal Chamber Leadership Lecture Series" and the "BCC&I Sardar Jodh Singh Award for Igniting Minds" were launched in March 2016 as flagship initiatives under the Marketing & Brand Committee of the Chamber. 

The series aims to feature visionaries and thought leaders who share their insights on topics aligned with their areas of expertise and interest. The Chamber believes that such events not only serve as platforms for knowledge dissemination and business education but also contribute to fostering balanced growth for both business and society.

The 8th edition of the Leadership Lecture Series was addressed by Shri Gurdeep Singh, Chairperson & Managing Director of NTPC Limited, on 6th September 2024 at W&M Hall, located within the Bengal Chamber premises.

The BCC&I Sardar Jodh Singh Award is named in honor of Sardar Jodh Singh, a visionary leader dedicated to driving positive societal change through education. Beyond his contributions to education, Sardar Jodh Singh played a significant role in developing industries across various sectors, including dairy, cargo, telecom, and infrastructure. His relentless efforts and progressive initiatives have propelled the JIS Group to global prominence, generating employment for over 22,000 people in recent years.

The award is presented annually to an individual who embodies visionary leadership and this year is no exception. This year Shri Gurdeep Singh, Chairman & Managing Director was honored with the BCC&I Sardar Jodh Singh Award for Igniting Minds.
